Lessons

Lessons can be 1 hour, 1 & a half hours or 2 hours long. You may choose to have one lesson a week or more depending on availability. As with anything else in life, the more you practise something, the better you will get at it. Really good progress can be made by having two lessons per week.

According to the DSA, those who pass their driving test have had, on average, about 45 hours of professional training combined with 22 hours of private practice.

It is important to explain the topic to be covered in the lesson and to review how this has gone afterwards but you will learn most by actually driving the car. At ALIVE! we are committed to maximising the time you spend doing this.

All lessons are one-to-one. You will have the instructor's undivided attention and there will be no picking up or dropping off of other students during your lesson.

You can be picked up from home, school/college or work. We try to be as flexible as possible and if you'd like to finish in a different place we will, within reason, try to accommodate this.

You'll be able to track and record the progress you make in your resource pack.

You learn most when you're feeling relaxed and whilst driving is a serious business, you’ll soon find that it can be enjoyable as well.

The Car

The car you will learn in is a new Citroen C3 VTR+ in crisp polar white. It offers a whole new driving experience thanks to its panoramic Zenith windscreen which improves visibility both forwards and upwards. It has a diesel engine, manual gearbox and air-conditioning and is spectacularly good to drive.

Needless to say, it will always be clean and tidy.
