Provisional Licence
If you haven't already got one, you will need a provisional driving licence, which can be obtained from the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency.
You'll need an application form D1, which you can obtain from the post office, or, alternatively, you can use the link to apply online.
The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) is the government body that administers the Driving Theory Test, and carries out Practical Driving Tests. The DSA also maintains the Register of Approved Driving Instructors, and carries out the qualifying exams for Instructors. From the website you can book your tests online, order books and publications and keep up-to-date with various motoring matters including road safety initiatives.
